This weekend my guy and I had planned on a nice little hike in Gatineau park. We planned on taking Wa
lker and really enjoy the day before the weather got too cold. Well the weather was not cooperating and I didn’t really feel like hiking in the damp weather (I’m sure Walker wasn’t too fond of that idea either). So we ended up leaving Walker in the comfort of my home and headed to Wakefield for lunch. We had not been in months and were eager to shop around our favorite hot spots to possibly buy something for the new house. Looking for a little bit to eat, we decided to try Café Pot au Feu.
I only really wanted a hot soup and something light. Well we were in for quite a surprise! Their vegetable soup and quiche were exactly what we needed. The soup was quite flavorful and the quiche exquisite! As a deaf girl, my surroundings are very important in a restaurant, I need to be able to carry on a conversation without getting totally exhausted trying to listen through too much noise. This place was perfect for me! It was quiet, the music not too loud, even with the high ceilings, the words did not get lost in the air. I would really recommend this place for anyone who’s looking for some quiet/quality time. Being beside the water always has been a source of good energy for me.
